Characterization of the genusAspilota(Hymenoptera: Braconidae)

ABSTRACT.The alysiine braconid genusAspilotaFoerster is redefined to include Dinotrema Foerster. Characters previously used to delimit bothDinotremaand species groups withinAspilota s.l.are discussed, with emphasis on difficulties in interpreting transformation series.Dinotrema amplisignata(Fischer),Dinotrema phoridarum(Goidanich) andDinotrema nigricornis(Thomson) are returned toAspilota.
