Overall, we can say that Rhinopoma microphyllum kinneari, Rhinopoma hardwickii, Rhinolophus lepidus and Pipistrellus tenuis are the only Microchiropteran species inhabiting the area in and around Bikaner of the Great Indian Desert (The Thar). No Megachiropterans have been reported to date. Rhinopoma microphyllum kinneari and Pipistrellus tenius are being reported here for the first time from this region; thus, it seems that this region is not very rich in chiropteran biodiversity.
