A globalization scholar last week said the current economic research on the impacts of trade liberalization is insufficient to conclusively determine how the Trans-Pacific Partnership will affect the U.S. economy, and policymakers and politicians will therefore have to base their decisions to support or oppose the deal on other considerations.
