摘要

We would like to thank Dr. Violo and his coauthors for their interest in our recent article published in Injury titled "Myoglobin clearance by continuous venous-venous haemofiltration in rhabdomyolysis with acute kidney injury: a case series".2 We completely agree with Dr. Violo that myoglobin metabolism, kinetics, and body distribution are still not well defined, and we also admitted in our article that we could not explain the direct relation between the decrease of serum myoglobin and removal by CWH because of endogenous clearance rate for myoglobin. Besides, concerning the protein coat, we also agree that the haemofilter should be exchanged earlier, if possible, to increase the sieving coefficient.
