The resequencing is needed for a receiving side of the Selective-Repeat ARQ protocol, which is employed for error recovery, for example, in satellite communications. This resequencing causes a burst of packets in output traffic. By disintegrating the protocol into a collection of multiple independent Stop-and-Wait protocols, this report models the protocol and shows calculations on the distribution of burst interval and the number of packets in a burst. It also shows packet delay distribution due to retransmission and resequencing.
