Electronhyphen;beamhyphen;controlled discharge excitation of a COhyphen;C2H2energy transfer laser

Laser emission in the 8hyphen;mgr;m ngr;2hyphen;ngr;5band of C2H2has been observed in electronhyphen;beamhyphen;controlled discharges in COhyphen;C2H2mixtures. Line tunability within thePandQbranches has been demonstrated using a gratinghyphen;controlled cavity. Spectroscopic measurements of the freehyphen;running C2H2laser emission at pressures up to 4 atm indicate significant pressurehyphen;broadened line overlap of the closely spaced (0.2 cmminus;1)Qhyphen;branch lines.
