The effects of soil compaction on quality and quantity of sugarbeet crop in cultivation with tramlines are summarized in the article. The experiment was set up on disced and ploghed field cultivated with tramlines. The ploughed and not so compacted soil redulted 111,7 higher su-garyield. The importance of direction of drilling and the round effect was shown.
