Senate Finance Committee international trade adviser Hun Quach has taken a position as the assistant U.S. trade representative for congressional affairs, in one of several personnel changes at USTR. Quach, who served on the Finance Committee for Chairman Max Baucus (D-MT) for six years, is filling the USTR slot left vacant by the departure of Mac Campbell in February to become general counsel at the Finance Committee. Campbell held the slot of AUSTR for congressional affairs for 11 months until February 2012. The USTR congressional affairs office has faced a fair amount of staff turnover. After Campbell's departure, Rene Munoz served in that AUSTR position on an acting basis, moving from his slot as deputy AUSTR for congressional affairs. With Quach's arrival, Munoz is returning to the deputy slot, according to a USTR source.
