This Paper proposes timing detection schemes using parallel blind demodulation techniques. These demodulation techniques have multiple adaptive maximum-likelihood sequence estimations with per-survivor processing (PSP-MLSES) which output reliability information respective for different estimated channel memory lengths and different sampling timings due to over-sampling. These proposed schemes can precisely detect bit timing in the presence of intersymbol interference by means of reliability information of PSP-MLSEs. Finally computer simulation confirms that the proposed timing detection schemes have excellent perforrmance under flat fading channels and frequency selective fading channels.
