摘要

This paper describes an information technology application of FeRAM(ferroelectric random access memory)-based functional memory. A new sorting algorithm is proposed with applications in the field of data processing. The proposed algorithm is evaluated by a simulation program with integrated circuit emphasis (Smart SPICE). Simulation circuits related to the algorithm, that is, the local arithmetic and logic unit, are composed by adiabatic dynamic logic technology. As a result, the proposed algorithm's power delay products are drastically reduced by a factor of 1/300 million when compared to bubble sorting. Even when busline transmission is considered, the power delay products are reduced by a factor of 1/7,000. These impressive results imply that the application of FeRAM in the field of information technology is promising.
