Casting of photoelastic models for centrifugal pump impellers

摘要

A technique has been developed for the manufacture of epoxy resin castings of centrifugal pump impellers for use in photoelastic work. The castings are produced in one piece with the aid of silicone rubber corepieces and aluminium moulds, and the method of producing reliable castings is described in detail.
