Sensors arriving at an airport near you

The analytical sensing technologies, vision machines, and imaging devices that propagate in process and discrete automation venues are migrating and morphing into security systems for air travel. Much of the stepped up security on airplanes in the U.S. after 11 September 2001 is not terribly sophisticated. Pilots now lock cockpit doors, and the doors are far stronger using steel reinforcement.
