Products of Thermal Degradation in Polymer Systems Based on Methyl Methacrylate

摘要

The effects of #x3B3;-irradiation, copolymerisation and the presence of various additives on the nature of the degradation products from polymer systems based on methyl methacrylate are reviewed. The ways in which the normal pattern of degradation of poly(methyl methacrylate) to give near quantitative yields of monomer is modified are examined and patterns of behaviour established. The types of system in which the greatest changes in behaviour may be expected are identified.
