Strong capital spending has helped automation vendors post double-digit growth in revenues in the first quarter of 2007.ARC Advisory Group reported the automation marketplace is thriving on healthy capital expenditures in the oil & gas industry and benefiting from developing economies in Asia and the oil-rich Middle East.Developed regions posted respectable growth;suppliers saw an increase in orders in Western Europe,and in particular Germany,while sales in North America were more modest.
