Intel and IBM are modifying the materials from which they make their transistors and processors so they will be smaller,faster,and more energy-efficient.Technology Review reported Intel and IBM separately unveiled a new type of transistor material,the companies said would lead to smaller chips,increased computing performance,and more energy-efficient computers.
