COTESIA CAMERON (HYMENOPTERA: BRACONIDAE: MICROGASTRINAE) PARASITOIDS OF HELICONIINAE (LEPIDOPTERA: NYMPHALIDAE) IN EUROPE, WITH DESCRIPTION OF THREE NEW SPECIES

摘要

Taxonomic investigation of specimens of Cotesia in the National Museums of Scotland (NMS) that are firmly known to have been reared (gregariously in each case) from species of Heliconiinae in Europe has revealed three species. Although in two cases there are literature citations to these taxa, it is shown that the Cotesia species had been misidentified in both cases and all three are described here as new species, C. selenevora sp. nov., C. eunomiae sp. nov. and C. adippevora sp. nov. A key is givenfor their separation, although they are not believed to be closely related.
