摘要

This paper describes experimental results of an optically controlled reactive MESFET in an FET oscillator for possibility of optical beam control in the active integrated antenna array. Use of this element enables us to give the array antenna the progressive phase shift. The characteristics of this reactive FET circuit were investigated optically, and then, the reactive MESFET and the isolator was settled in series to the gate circuit of the oscillator. The maximum phase shift of about 50 degrees by illumination was obtained. The steering angle of 13 degrees was achieved by the fabricated 3-element active integrated antenna array including the reactive MESFET circuit with illumination.
