The fungal generaActiniopsis, Ijuhya, Neohenningsia, Ophiodictyon, Peristomialis, andNectriaare discussed.ActiniopsisandOphiodictyonare non-hypocreaceous, lichenised pyrenomycetes.Ijuhya, Neohenningsia, andPeristomialisare relegated to synonymy withNectria. Nectria pertusoidessp. nov.,N. freycinetiisp. nov.,N. phormiicolasp. nov.,N. peristomialis(Berkeley amp; Broome) Samuels comb. nov.,N. dentiferasp. nov., andN. arenuloidessp. nov. are described and illustrated.Nectria peziza(Tode ex Fries) Fries,N. cyatheaDingley,N. pertusaPatouillard,N. vulpina(Cooke) Ellis,N. sylvanaMouton, andN. manukaDingley are described from collections made in New Zealand. All species were cultured from ascospores and producedAcremoniumspp. conidial states. A key to these species ofNectriaand theirAcremoniumconidial states is presented.
