Studies of the African members of the genusTrogaspidiaAshmead 1899 have shown that thebiseriatagroup, as defined by BISCHOFF (1920), which includes two species, described on female specimens, deserves a full generic status, namedSeriatospidia. This new genus is defined by the abdominal vestiture pattern, which appears to be highly significant or the recognition of the taxa in the females ofTrogaspidias.l. Three new species, (junodiana, prostesemataandangolana), resulting from the study of formerly published as well as still unnamed material, are described.
