Mori Seiki, Irving, TX, has introduced the SH8000, one of the SH Series of horizontal machining centers. It maximizes productivity with its large capacity and high precision, according to the company.The triangular bed design and support ribbing provide an extra-rigid base, enabling it to perform heavy cutting without deforming. Pallets capable of carrying loads to 4400 lb. is standard, with a 5720-lb. table-loading capacity optional. The center executes a pallet change in 14 sec. to reduce noncutting time. Its maximum swing diameter is 51.18 in.
