FARM INTERESTS MAY PUSH FOR RESERVE TO STABILIZE ETHANOL SUPPLY

With ethanol moving from being a gasoline additive to becoming a critical component of national fuel supply,farming interests are revisiting the idea of a national strategic corn reserve,informed sources tells Inside Fuels and Vehicles.Moreover,the size of the reserve being floated is based on the possible expansion of the Energy Policy Act's (EPACT) renewable fuels standard to 10 billion or as many as 15 billion gallons,one source said.
