Regulation of molecular weight distribution in the polymerization of butadiene–styrene and butadiene–nitrile rubbers

AbstractConditions for the preparation of butadiene–styrene and butadiene–nitrile rubbers with desirable molecular weight distributions were developed; regulators of different activities were used in the polymerizations. The character of the dependencies of properties of the butadiene–styrene rubbers on the molecular weight distribution of the polymers was established. Butadiene–styrene and butadiene–nitrile rubbers with the desired distributions and good elastic‐plastic and physical‐mechanical properties were obtained.
