Data acquisition and remote monitoring are now gaining ground in many industries and wireless systems are starting to make their presence felt in testing nowadays. They are being used by environmental testers to log any number of parameters, and wireless systems are now becoming the most cost effective and logical route to conduct monitoring. For instance, a live dynamic monitoring system for integrated water management of water consumption has been developed by Radio-Tech. It has been used to monitor water consumption and leakage in France wirelessly. They used the SonicSens listening device that monitor both maximum and minimum consumption during a given day.
