A simple pyroelectric power meter for the FIR range

摘要

Pyroelectric detectors are simple and rugged devices for measuring radiation from UV to Millimeter waves. In this paper a pyroelectric power meter using stock components is described. It offers some features as internal chopper background radiation compensation or calibrated detector efficiency control usually not found in commercial instruments. Calibration data at various FIR frequencies are also given.
