Ruthenium(III) Complexes with #x3B2;-Diketones Containing Triphenylphosphine and Triphenylarsine

Mixed ligand complexes of ruthenium(III) with #x3B2;-diketones, halide and triphenylphosphine or triphenylarsine as ligands have been synthesised. The complexes were assigned the formula RuX2(DIKET) (EPh3)2 (X = CI, Br; E = P, As; DIKET=diketonate) on the basis of analytical and spectral (IR, electronic and EPR) data. An octahedral structure has been proposed for all these complexes.
