The Ethanehyphen;Ethylenehyphen;Hydrogen Equilibrium

摘要

An attempt has been made to correlate several data on this system by a statistical calculation of the equilibrium constants in the temperature range of 400 to 700deg;C. The data are in good agreement but the calculated values of theK's are smaller than the experimental by a factor of two. It is thought that the principal reason for this discrepancy lies in the calculation of the entropy of free rotation in ethane, although other factors may contribute.
