Body-image disorder and gender identity

A person's body image is a representation in the mind and brain (mindbrain). It may be socially endorsed or idiosyncratic, even bizarre, by other people's criteria. In cases of sex reassignment, the three principles of body transformation are exemplified, namely, realignment and enhancement, obliteration and relinquuishment, and augmentation and amplification.
