The MoD's Boscombe Down test facilities prepare new and existing aircraft and systems for service with the armed forces. Just on the edge of Salisbury Plain, close by the A303 that leads westwards towards Stonehenge, Boscombe Down is one of the most important test and experimental stations in the UK defence sector. It's here that the Ministry of Defence undertakes impartial test work on its aircraft before and during their active service lives in an impressive range of testing facilities.
