Quinaozolin-2,4-(1H,3H)-dione (1), 6,7-dimethoxy-quinazolin-2,4-(1H,3H)-dione (2), and 1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-2,4-dioxo-pyrido2,3-dpyrimidine (3) were subjected to Mitsunobu conditions using propinol to give the 1,3-dialkylated derivatives4,5, and6.
