This study aims to contribute to systematics of New World primates, especially the subfamily Atelinae in its behavioral and ecological aspects. For that purpose study results made for woolly monkeys (Lagothrix), spider monkeys (Ateles) and muriquis (Brachyteles), which genera are classified into the subfamily will be shown in comparison with one another. While foods, ranging behavior, grouping pattern, and social interaction pattern are described, reproductive parameters are well documented.
