A facile non-hydrolytic thermolysis route for monodisperse sulfur doped TiO2 nanocatalysts is demonstrated. Compared with the asobtained undoped TiO2 nanocatalysts, the sulfur doped TiO2 nanocatalysts present obvious enhanced visible light activation for the degradation of rhodamine B and methylene blue dyes under the artificial visible light (λ = 420-770 nm) irradiatio
