Preparation of Tris(#x3B2;-Diketonato)Indium and Tris(#x3B2;-Ketoester) Indium from the Reaction in Non-Aqueous Solution

Anhydrous indium chloride in non-aqueous solution reacted with #x3B2;-diketones (H-dik) or #x3B2;-ketoesters (H-etac) in the presence of amines or sodium cyanate to give the corresponding indium chelate compounds of the type In(dik)3or In(etac)3in high yield, where H-dik = CH3cOCH2COCH3(Hacac), CH3COCH2COC6H5(Hbzac), C6H5COCH2COC6H5(Hdbzm), and H-etac = CH3COCH2COOC2H5(Hetac).
