摘要

In their focal article, Saari and Scherbaum (2011) point out the potential negative impact of survey identification on respon-dent perceptions of privacy and anonymity and behavior. They propose the history of the organization and employee experience with surveying may affect the extent to which identification may result in negative implications. However, that is the extent of contextual factors set forth by the authors. The global nature of the business world behooves us to understand how culture may affect the impact of identified surveys. The goal of this commentary is to specify cul-tural values examined by prior research and to discuss organizational implications of using identified surveys in different cultures.
