摘要

The focal article by Santuzzi, Waltz, Finkelstein, and Rupp (2014) invites researchers and practitioners to "consider adjustments to current legislation and workplace practices" in response to the "unique challenges facing workers with invisible disabilities" (p. 204). In this response article, we argue that efforts would be better spent on the "workplace practices" part of the equation than the "legislation adjustments" part. We believe that legislative approaches, although obviously beneficial and necessary as a basic level of protection to workers with invisible disabilities, falls short for a number of reasons outlined below.
