Optimizing the composition of mixed films for the IR region

Based on literature data, this paper discusses the possibilities of creating new film-forming materials by using mixed films having interior mechanical stresses that are reduced by comparison with traditional materials. The ranges of the refractive indices of mixed films having the minimum possible stress are considered.
