Given the problems that continue toamass in contemporary organizations, itis understandable how Hollenbeck (2009)might overlook additional reasons as towhat's wrong with executive selection. Notthat they were needed, but we now haveeven more cases of organizations that havebeen driven to the ground by their inept (orcorrupt) senior executives. There is ampleand mounting evidence that there is a lotwrong with executive selection, which iswhy I would like to highlight two importantissues that Hollenbeck did not address.
