They are literally everywhere you look—on the street, in cars, and at airports. Wireless cellular telephones have become so prevalent, and occasionally intrusive, restaurants and certain schools are starting to ban their use. In the United States, cellular service providers are hurrying to build communications towers to supply these Personal Communications Services (PCSs), and construction is expected to continue through the early part of the next century, at the very least. Construction will also increase internationally in coming years, as PCS is brought into second- and third-world countries.
