Jack Pringle and Chris Brandon have a game that they play with their clients. Involving a slide carousel, which one of the architects operates as master of ceremonies, the idea is to match images with the verbal descriptions clients give to describe their business. This might sound more like a school exercise than a design workshop. But the pair, the founding partners of Pringle Brandon, swear by it as a piece of 'image engineering' which helps to establish a project brief at an early stage, and 'develop a specific style that's relevant to the business we are designing for'.
