Much of anyone's success in freeflight comes from accepting the challenges posed by our hobby and overcoming obstacles. In fact, a great deal of the joy of freeflight occurs because we have met challenges, and in some cases, advanced the hobby through our individual efforts. This month we are pleased to begin this session by presenting some of the latest work of two regular contributors to this column who have both advanced the hobby through overcoming obstacles that they set for themselves. Ken Johnson is no stranger to these pages, or for that matter any of the other national modeling publications for his unusual and creative designs, all of which fly very well. Ken sent along a picture of the latest version of his rubber-powered delta-winged Douglas Skyray, which is a bit deceptive in its own right, because it is larger than it appears to be in the photo.
