The creation of an information highway for intermodal transport

Although the use of Information and Communication Technologyapplications is important for the enhancement of the quality oftransport services and the efficiency of operations, theirutilization in transport still remains limited. In order to stimulatethe creation of an information highway for intermodal trans- portlogistics, the European Commission has initiated theMARTRANS-project.
