摘要

We describe a rare case of Pasteurella pneumotropica in a 66-year-old man with a history of bilateral, nonhealing, plantar ulcera-tions. Pasteurella pneumotropica is a pleomorphic gram-negative bacterium, which is reported to occur most commonly after an animal bite or scratch. This case demonstrates a patient with chronic, nonhealing ulcers and no known history of animal saliva exposure that developed a polymicrobial cellulitis with Pasteurella pneumotropica, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, and Streptococcus agalactiae.
