US based Abrasive Technology Inc has introduced Infinity v6.1 as an extension of its Infinity line of diamond CMP pad conditioners. The Infinity v6.1 disk features the highest strength synthetic diamond, with diamond concentration optimised to achieve more than 80 percent bond strength improvement and more than 60 percent disc life improvement over the standard Infinity product. Infinity v6.1 features Abrasive Technology's P.B.S. process, which permanently bonds diamonds to the stainless steel substrate to give an excellent combination of bond strength and diamond exposure to provide consistent pad conditioning throughout the disc's life.
