In the final part of his series on linear motor based positioning systems, Aerotech's Dr Cliff Jolliffe looks at the importance of the feedback system and cable management. Having introduced the subject of linear motor based positioning and looked at considerations for selection of the linear motor itself and the bearing technology, in this final article of the series we now focus on the importance of the feedback system.
