Coordinated processes for greater flexibility

TOMORROW'S AUTOMATION TECHNOLOGY, TODAY. THAT'S WHAT WE WERE TREATED TO AT AUTOMATICA - THE TRADE FAIR DEDICATED TO ROBOTICS, ASSEMBLY AND VISION. Tailor-made to the product and the process - that's what assembly systems should be. Different suppliers are following different strategies in the pursuit of this aim: while some are concentrating on building special machinery, others prefer modular systems. Both can be successful, and both cater to the differing challenges in production. And, the beauty of the Automatica trade fair in Munich this May was that we were able to take a close look at examples of both types of tailor-made automation systems, and compare the various approaches.
