Recruit and up skill to help fuel international growth

The number of UK manufacturers and engineers who expect the majority of their turnover to come from international trade is set to more than double by 2021, according the new research HSBC reports that international growth aspirations are motivating manufacturers and engineers to re-shape their recruitment plans and the skill set of current staff. In order to have the skills on board that are needed to enable international trade growth, almost one in five (13%) UK-based manufacturers and engineers are planning to recruit new staff and an additional quarter (27%) are looking to provide additional training for existing employees.
