Health Care for Women International (HCWI) is now on a rapid online publication model. The editing team sends material to the publisher on a rolling basis, as it is accepted. In consequence, articles are published online as soon as they have been accepted. They may thus be "accounted for" in the "world of science without the delay which has occurred in the past due to assignment to a particular issue. In consequence, scholars will be able to request uploads for articles before the articles are otherwise available through library subscription. Although I will continue to group articles published in HCWI by topic, and package them in issues with editorials in which I comment on substance, my goal will also be to assign each accepted article to an issue as quickly as possible. Since most readers have already been accessing our content online, only limited print copies of our journal will be available to library subscribers. Here, too, the format will change. Three issues will be bound together, delivered to libraries quarterly rather than monthly. Articles may be cited using the date in which the article was first available online, but once assigned to an issue, the citation should change to reflect the date of publication of that issue. Despite initial confusion, I hope that substantive groupings will continue to aid researchers in attempts to review literature published in HCWI.
