Addressing the need for more efficient aircraft maintenance

Workstations help provide quality and consistency for aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul. Modular workstations have been designed and supplied for Monarch Aircraft Engineering Limited (MAEL) for use at its recently opened multi-million pound maintenance hangar at Birmingham Airport as well as existing facilities at London Luton, Gatwick and Manchester airports. The workstations, situated in close proximity to the aircraft, are an integral part of a highly efficient zonal station operational system MAEL has developed where aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul teams are assigned their numerous tasks and allocated tools and equipment via the Wi-Fi connected stations - which are equipped with computers, data displays and printers.
