My column in the last issue posed questions about the validity of hybrids. Since then my children have been stoned in the street, and my wife kidnapped and held for ransom (incidentally, I'd like to register a vote of thanks to the Dorking District Women Against Climate Change Action Group for being undaunted by my refusal to accept their ransom terms).
