An Irish articulated lift-truck OEM was already enjoying great success - but producing an electric model with support from a leading supplier could well be its jewel in the crown. Nestling among the meadows and hills of Clontibret, southern Ireland, is the HQ of Aisle-Master Ltd, a company that has challenged conventional wisdom by coming up with a niche product - the Aisle-Master articulated forklift. MD Gerry McHugh and his engineers share years of experience in the sector, having been previously involved in the development and global success of the Moffett Mounty truck-mounted forklift. After leaving Moffett, they carried out extensive research and prototype testing before settling on the articulated design of the Aisle-Master, which McHugh describes as one of the most versatile and cost-effective pieces of equipment introduced to the materials handling and logistics industries for many years.
