Two hundred and ninety‐three strains ofStaphylococcus aureusisolated from clinical specimens were tested for enterotoxigenicity by the Optimum Sensitivity Plate (OSP) method. Thirty‐nine per cent produced enterotoxins A, B, C, D or E. Enterotoxin B was detected more often than the others.
